2011 Suva Darts League Competition

The 2011 Suva Darts Association's League Competition starts in March. The competition starts on Monday, 14 March 2011, and will be played each Monday for 22 weeks at the Defence Club. About 120 players from Suva's 10 clubs would be competing.

Fiji International Jazz & Blues Festival

The Fiji International Jazz & Blues Festival will be held from Thursday, 12 May, to Sunday, 15 May 2011 at Port Denarau, Denarau, Nadi. Over 100 musicians from around the world will travel to Fiji with a line-up that includes leading jazz and blues musicians from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, England, American Samoa and the United States – not to mention talented local bands. Among the international artists confirmed already are renowned musicians Billy TK Jnr (Kiwi guitar hero), Hammond Gamble, Tony Painting (UK blues guitarist), Phil Broadhurst (internationally acclaimed jazz pianist), LA crooner, Diana Harris and many others!   • Tuesday, 15 February 2011, 9am to 10am, Depart Government House through the main gate, into Queen Elizabeth Drive, Victoria Parade, Westpac, Village 6, Suva Market, Walu Bay, and onto Lautoka.

The Final of the Fiji TV sponsored Rugby Sevens Series will be held on Saturday, 19 February 2011, at the tfl National Stadium, Laucala Bay, Suva. Teams expected to play in the final include Namosi One, Namosi Two, Naitasiri, and Northland.

Youth Cultural Night

A Youth Cultural Night is being organised by the Department of Youth for Friday, 4 February 2011, starting 7pm at the Vodafone Arena, Laucala Bay, Suva. There will be performances by youths on board the 23rd Ship of the World from countries including Fiji, Tanzania, Oman Bahrain, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Chile, Australia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.
