25 March, 2011
The Holi Festival will be celebrated on Saturday, 26 March 2011, from 1pm to 6pm, at the UN Park. The festival is a fun-filled and popular occasion in the northern part of India but also celebrated by Hindus around the world. It is an occasion where people smear each other with bright coloured powders, which is known as Gulal, and coloured water. It is believed that the bright colours represent energy, life, and joy.
