Tangata Fenua, Tangata Moana

The Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture & Pacific Studies of the University of the South Pacific will present "Tangata Fenua. Tangata Moana" (People of the land. People of the Sea) on Friday, 23 April 2010, starting 7pm, at the Pearl South Pacific Resort, Pacific Harbor. Entry fee is F$10.00 per person. Celebrate Earth Day 2010 with a Pacific feast of art and culture including visual Art, dance and music. As one of the leading Pacific institutions responsible for the development of the arts and artists, the Oceania Centre is pleased to announce its first corporate art outreach event which coincides with International Earth Day and features the launch of the Oceania Dance Theatre and the NewSounds ensemble which will be showcased in Shanghai at the World Trade Show in May 2010. It also includes an art exhibition comprising art works selected from the Oceania Centre Private Collection by Pacific artists from Fiji, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, and Tonga as well as the art works of a few budding new local talents.
