Pacific Arts Village

A Pacific Arts Village will be set up by the Fiji Arts Council at the Miss South Pacific Pageant scheduled from 21 to 28 November 2009 at Albert Park, Suva. The Village will have booths for island countries participating at the pageant which will include art exhibitions from Rotuma, Rabi, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Australia and Tonga. There will also be art/craft displays from the Western and Northern Divisions of Fiji. During the week, there will be art programs daily at Albert Park and the Fiji Museum. This exhibition will replace the annual Wasawasa Art Festival that is held jointly by the Fiji Arts Council and the Fiji Museum in December.
