Silo Crash Photos

One of the silos located at Flour Mills of Fiji factory outlet at Walu Bay, Suva, crashed yesterday, burying a Fijian man alive. The silo was used to store split peas for the company. The company has a number of silos which are each equivalent to a building over 5-storeys high. It would be interesting to note what were the real causes of the collapse. Was it laxity on the part of the company to ensure strict engineering and safety standards were met or was it laxity on the part of the Government Department/Ministry that should inspect that these structures meet stipulated standards. However, let us remember the deceased and pray for his soul and for God's peace to be with his grieving family. Here are some photos from the crash site that we received by email.
