Seminar on the Employment Relations Bill

The Fiji Human Resources Institute is organising a seminar to discuss Fiji’s Employment Relations Bill which is scheduled for implementation from October 2007. The Seminar is scheduled for Friday, 31 August, 2007, from 9am to 4.30pm at Tower 11, Reserve Bank of Fiji Building, Suva. Entry fees are :
  • F$100.00 for members; and
  • F$150.00 for non members.

Resource Person will be John Apted. Jon Apted has a LLB from the University of Auckland, NZ (1986), and was admitted to the NZ and Fiji High Courts in 1986. He later obtained an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, USA (1989) and an LLM from Harvard Law School, USA (1995). He is currently a Partner at Munro Leys and advises, litigates and acts as a private arbitrator in the employment law area. He has successfully argued leading employment law cases in the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Prior to joining Munro Leys, Jon was the Permanent Arbitrator as well as the Sugar Industry Tribunal.
