Indonesia Cultural Evening and Art Exhibition

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Fiji is organising an Indonesian Cultural Evening and Art Exhibition on Thursday, 23 August 2007. The Exhibition will run from 10am to 4pm at the Ratu Iloilovatu Gallery, FIT Campus, Carpenter Street, Raiwai, Suva. The Cultural Evening will be from 6.30pm to 8pm at the Music Theatre, FIT Campus, Raiwai, Suva. Art works including painting, batik, wood carving will be on display. There will also be performances by students of Pacific Island countries from Fiji, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Tonga, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. A Angkung and Arumba Band (Indonesian traditional bamboo music instruments) will also perform. Tickets are free and can be obtained from the Indonesian Embassy, 6th floor, Ra Marama Building, 91 Gordon Street, Suva by Wednesday, 22 August 2007.
