Workshop : Crisis Management in the Tourism Industry

A workshop on "Crisis Management in the Tourism Industry" will be held on 22 and 23 February 2007 at the Training & Productivity Authority of Fiji (TPAF) Nabua Centre, Suva. Details are provided below :
  • Contents - Major Issues in Tourism Crisis and Recovery Management, Tourism Crisis and the Media, Governmental Tourism Advisories, Dealing with Security, Alliance between Tourism Academics and the Travel Industry, Researching the Market for Recovery in Fiji, Simulation Game : Hypothetical Dealing with Two Crisis Events;
  • Target Group - Hotel Developers, Hotel Managers, Media Journalists, Sales and Marketing Personnel, Government Travel Advisory and other Related Government Officials, Lecturers, Tertiary Students and other interested personnel;
  • Facilitator - Dr David Beirman, founding director of the Israel Tourism Office Australasia and SW Pacific;
  • Fees - F$300.00 including manuals, meals and Certificate of Participation.
