Learning the craft of her mother
Nice story here about a Fijian girl who weaves baskets for a living and to help fund her younger siblings school fees. The girl is from Fulaga Island in the Lau group. She sells her baskets between F$5.00 and F$6.00 a piece. As Fiji modernises, it is pleasing to note that some of our young ladies are taking up the craft of their mothers to keep those skills alive. More on that story here.
