Carpenters Group continues with Suva foreshore project

The Carpenters Group will be continuing with its Suva foreshore project. The project, which will cost F$200 million, will first involve reclamation along the Suva foreshore before developing the site. To be built on the site are hotels, condominiums and an entertainment centre. In the meantime, construction of the Group's Thomson Street project has been delayed with the opening of the Morris Hedstrom's outlet at the lower floors of the building now scheduled for June. The outlet will include a full department store, food court, bakery, liquor store, pharmacy, butcher and speciality shops such as clothing, banking and jewellery stores on the ground floor. The second floor will house a department store and MH Homemaker outlet.
