Lami to start reclamation project
The reclamation of Lami town's foreshore is to start as early as next year. The Lami Town Council is looking at concept plans before it embarks on securing funds for the project. The proposed reclamation of the 42 acre area on the foreshore is estimated to cost about F$6 million. Provisions for shopping malls, park reserve, mariners, buildings for light commercial use together with a hotel and convention centre are part of the project.
