Remembrance Day celebrations in Suva today
Remembrance Day commemorations will be held in Suva today, 11 November, to remember our war heroes who died for our country in the two World Wars and in other spheres where our servicemen have served. There will be a march by our soldiers and navy men and the traditional laying of wreath. During the week, Fiji citizens have been spotting red poppies which were bought from the Fiji Ex-Servicemen's Association as a way of remembering our forefathers who gave their lives during the wars. Today, we say a prayer for them and for our grandfathers, fathers, uncles, brothers and cousins who are still serving in our defence forces.
