F$1m for PM's new home
A new residence will be built to be the official residence of the Prime Minister. The home which will be built at a 6 acre land located along Queen Elizabeth Drive and near the Muanikau Police Post will be divided into two parts : an official entertainment area and a private residence for the PM's family. The home will also house an office for the PM. Architects are to be called soon to tender designs for the home and will be instructed to take into account the local culture and traditions. The total cost of construction, security and finishing costs will be around F$1 million. In addition to the Government House, the Great Council of Chiefs buildings and now the new residence of the PM, Queen Elizabeth Drive will surely be a dream drive for those that love architectural designs.
