Regional Conference on Institutions, Globalisation, and their Impacts on Labour Markets in Pacific Island Countries

The Faculty of Business and Economics, School of Economics, University of the South Pacific and the European Union is holding a Regional Conference on Institutions, Globalisation, and their Impacts on Labour Markets in Pacific Island Countries from 17 to 19 October 2006 at the USP's Laucala Campus in Suva. The conference will deal with labour market institutions and the impact of global economic integration on the Pacific Island countries bringing into focus contemporary issues affecting the labour market in these countries with respect to changes in the global economic environment. The conference will include two types of sessions : Plenary sessions where policy papers will be presented while more technical academic papers will be presented during paper sessions.
