3rd Melanesian Arts & Cultural Festival - Canoe takes delivery

Builders from Kabara delivered three traditional Fijian canoes to Government yesterday. The canoes are to be used for the 3rd Melanesian Arts & Cultural Festival which runs in Suva, Fiji, from 2 to 11 October 2006. The builders from Kabara are the traditional builders for the Tui Nayau. 10 men carried out the work on mahogany rather than the usual vesi wood. Check out those canoes during the time of the festival. Note from GV : Those that need accommodation can book our two bedroom home in Suva through links at the right hand side of this blog.
