Regional Conference on Institutions, Globalisation and their Impacts on Labour Markets in Pacific Island Countries

The University of the South Pacific's Faculty of Business and Economics in collaboration with the European Union will host the Regional Conference on Institutions, Globalisation, and their Impacts on Labour Markets in Pacific Island Countries, from 17 to 19 October 2006, at the University's Laucala Campus, Suva. The conference will deal with labour market institutions and impact of global economic integration on the Pacific Island countries bringing into focus contemporary issues affecting the labour market in these countries with respect to changes in the global economic environment. The conference will include two sessions, plenary sessions where policy papers will be presented while more technical academic papers will be presented during paper sessions. Attendance at all plenary sessions is free. All are welcome to attend.
