Melanesian Arts & Cultural Festival is two weeks away

The 3rd Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival is two weeks away and runs in Suva, Fiji, from 2 to 11 October 2006. The Festival will serve a fusion of traditional and contemporary art and cultural display and exhibition and provides an opportunity for visitors to sample something that is offered by the Melanesian countries in the Pacific. Countries that belong to the Melanesian group include Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Fiji. Suva will be host to a number of contingents from the various countries that will perform or display their art at the festival.
