Iguana to feature at Melanesian Festival
An iguana will be on display at the 3rd Melanesian Arts & Cultural Festival to be held in Fiji from 2 to 11 October 2006. The Fijian crested iguana brought from Namosi is rare and is found only in the dry parts of the country. The National Trust of Fiji will display the iguana during the arts festival. It will be taken back to Namosi after the display. The National Trust said iguanas usually do not bite but asked people not to provoke it. Note from GV : Groups that need accommodation in Suva during the festival can use our two bedroom home with sea views. The home has a Personal Computer with Broadband Internet access provided complimentary for guests' use.
