Secondary school students get ready for Tadra Kahani

Secondary school students in Fiji are getting ready for the annual Tadra Kahani show which will be held from Wednesday, 16 August, to Friday, 18 August 2006. Launched with a poster competition recently, the show has attracted 16 schools with one from as far as Rabi Island. Tadra Kahani, which means "Dream Story" is a show involving young people between the ages of 6 and 19 years who express a theme using creative arts in dance and music. It provides an opportunity for young people to produce a piece of live entertainment, set to contemporary music. Participants learn about producing a show from design and music, choreography, set building, budgeting and fundraising. The main objectives of Tadra Kahani are fun, entertainment and team building. In the process, students get to delve deeper and learn more about their chosen theme. Tickets available from this week at the BoomBox, Downtown Boulevard, and Communications Fiji Limited, 231 Waimanu Road. You can also call +679 3314766.
