Progress towards the 2007 World Netball Championships to be held in Suva
Fiji will become the first Pacific Island nation to host the World Netball Championships when it hosts the event in Suva from 10 to 21 July, 2007. Fiji will host 16 nations over 11 competition days which will cost the country about F$3 million. The games will be played at the FMF Dome, Laucala Bay, Suva with the city expecting to host a large number of players, spectators and tourists. So far, the world's top 5 teams, Australia, England, Jamaica, New Zealand and South Africa have already qualified and so has the host country, Fiji. Cook Islands and Samoa, joins the Pacific Island nations who have qualified so far for the Championships.
