Hibiscus starts today

The Hibiscus Festival starts today after being launched by the Prime Minister on Wednesday night. Mr Qarase urged the public not to allow the wet weather to dampen their spirits and to instead support the Festival. Suva is buzzing with activity today with stalls opened from midday at Albert Park and a Mardi Gras on tonight. The Mardi Gras will be held along Victoria Parade, from the junction of the Bowling Club to the junction of Southern Cross Road. At the grounds there are food stalls, flea market stalls, gambling, kava bars, homeware displays, displays by financial houses, motor shows and other product displays. Go down to Albert Park to enjoy some of the fun.
