Choir groups ready to perform

More than 500 choir groups have signed up for the choir competition of the Methodist Church annual conference. The church said that 523 choirs had confirmed their participation in the competition. Between 800 and 900 choirs are expected to participate. Two groups from NZ and two from Australia will also be taking part. The competition will be held from 18 August to 26 August 2006 at the Baker Hall, near Lelean Memorial School, Nausori.

At Baker Hall, Davuilevu? I thought the choir competition is to be held in Nausori!
Well, lots of people will be crossing that new Rewa (Europe)bridge anyway! There's a choir going from Melbourne from the Coburg-based Fijian congregation. Peceli isn't singing this time so the basses will be in tune!

They say it would start at the Baker Hall .... at Davuilevu, Nausori. Perhaps later, they will move onto Ratu Cakobau Park on the other side of the bridge. The new bridge is to be opened one day earlier on 17 August 2006.
