Website targets Chinese tourists

The South Pacific Tourism Organisation has launched a website to market South Pacific tourism to potential travellers from China. The website has been developed in Mandarin and is registered uner the domain, www.spto.cn. The move followed the People's Republic of China's decision to grant destination status to more Pacific Islands over the years. The site provides a comprehensive overview of the South Pacific with complete profiles on SPTO's 12 Pacific Island member countries. When surfing through the site, potential travellers from China could learn about the culture and history of the region, view an extensive gallery of pictures, browse accommodation and activities options, locate travel agents, and understand travel requirements to the region. Note : For those coming to Suva for business or a holiday, a two bedroom home can be viewed and booked with links at the right hand side of this blog or call direct +679 3396427; e-mail gilbert@connect.com.fj.
