Suva headed for boom

Three new complexes being developed in the capital will see business boom in the city, says the Suva Chamber of Commerce. The Tappoo City complex, Parshotam's Midcity, and Carpenters Group/Morris Hedstrom City complex will provide additional retail and office space. The Chamber said the capital city needed additional business facilities and services. The new buildings are expected to bring in more business to the capital. Work on the Tappoo building is expected to be completed by mid 2008. The six-storey building will offer three levels of retailing space, which will include specialist stores/outlets with the fourth floor to have a food court and cinemas. Two floors will have office space. The MH City complex will have three floors of retail space which is expected to open by Christmas 2006. The building will be the tallest in the country once it is completed. The Midcity complex at Cumming Street is to be completed by end 2006.
