Pacific Film and Writers Festival

The Pacific Film and Writers Festival will be shown at the Village 6 cinemas and the N111 Theatre, University of the South Pacific, Laucala Bay, Suva. The festival is part of the Pacific Epistelomogies Conference now being held in Suva. Members of the public are invited to view the award winning works of some of the best Pacific Island filmmakers.   • 7pm, Since the company came (Solomons), Producer/Director Russell Hawkins, 52 mins, 2000;
  • 8.15pm, The Spirits of Koniambo (New Caledonia), Producer/Director Jean-Louis Comolli, 90 mins, 2004

Thursday 6 July

  • 7pm, The Land has Teeth (Fiji), Director Esther Figueroa, 17 mins, 2002;
  • 7.30pm, An Island Invaded (Guam), Director Esther Figueroa, 52 mins, 2004;
  • 8.45pm, The Maden Family's Papua (PNG), Director Severin Blanchet, 52 mins, 2003
