Music show on top of weather

Wet weather failed to dampen the annual Fiji Music Day held at Suva's Sukuna Park yesterday. The event had 36 young people from the ages of 9 to 20 entertain a crowd of about 700 people. Concert organisers, Alliance Francaise, said the 10 year old event had always been free of charge to encourage participation. Alliance Francaise said apart from being good entertainment, it gave people a chance to show their talent. Three of the contestants will now get to sing with local singing sensations like Seru Serevi and Saimoni Vuatalevu. Apart from a variety of songs being rendered, several Fijian, Indian and island dance groups also performed. Mark the event on your Suva calendar for next year.
