August 17 opening for new Rewa Bridge

The new Rewa Bridge will be opened on August 17. Construction is largely complete with site works focused on fitting out the bridge with deck furniture and internal services and competing the approach roads and roundabout. The new bridge is 425 meters long and will carry four lanes of vehicular traffic, two lanes in each direction, together with pedestrian walkways on each side of its, making it three times wider than the old bridge. It is located a little downstream from the old bridge at Nausori. During August, the annual Methodist Church Choir Competition will be held at the Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori. It will be a good opportunity for visitors to try out the new bridge.
