New fountain commissioned at Sukuna Park
A new fountain at Sukuna Park in central Suva was commissioned yesterday. The upgrading of the fountain was part of the Destination Suva Project. Sukuna Park is an important recreational centre for the city of Suva and the new fountain is set to be a major attraction to those that go to the park for lunch, listen to performances from a dome there, or for some R&R. The upgrading of the fountain cost between F$35,000.00 to F$50,000.00. Other initiatives at the park include lifting the memorial to the chief and statesman after whom the park is named and a planting of more flowers. Go and check out the new fountain sometime this week or during the coming long weekend.
