Music lovers flock to festival
Hundreds of music lovers flocked to the World Music Festival at the Post Fiji Stadium in Suva yesterday. Organised by Sandjunes Management Group, the festival saw performances from homegrown artists like Bollywood queen, Aiysha. Other overseas live acts included 1980s disco fever group, Boney M, and Australia's The Nail Factory rubbing shoulders with vude queen, Laisa Vulakoro. The show started at midday with the Oceania dancers and the Shobna Chanel dance group. The crowd enjoyed the festival, saying there were varieties of non-stop music and it was something that did not take place often. Most have asked that it be done more often. The show organisers said the event was designed to boost the tourism industry.
