Fine Dining - Italian Style
L'Opera Italian Restaurant is a new addition to the dining scene in Suva. It is the 11th to be opened by long-time Italian business partners, Paolo Nesi and Moreno Mattel. Chef Moreno said that "the success and the competitive advantage of L'Opera have always been the food because [they] are a kitchen-driven organisation rather than a management driven operation." The restaurant offers both a set menu and ala carte. The restaurant also caters for any kind of occasion. To try out some authentic Italian cuisine, visit L'Opera at 59 Gordon Street, Suva. Their contacts are telephone + 679 331 8602 or e-mail: pnesi@loperagroup.com.

A friend is interested in setting up a pizza shop in Fiji. Are there many in Suva, Pacific Harbour or along the Coral Coast at present? A Google search only found the Pizza Hut in Suva mentioned and some tourist resorts and some bizarre comments by travellers to Fiji.

Hello, Wendy. There are a few places where you can order pizza in Suva. We have Pizza King, Wishbone Restaurant, some Chinese restaurants, and some outlet at the Suva Boulevard and FNPF Dolphins Plaza. We also have a new Pizza Hut outlet being built at Centrepoint about 4 miles from Suva towards Nausori. I'm not so sure about Pacific Harbour. I haven't seen any outlet there. Neither have I seen any along the Coral Coast. Tell your friend, if he/she wishes to invest/set up business in Fiji, we can help him/her apply for and obtain the necessary investment certificate and other licences, permits and approvals required prior to set up. Gilbert
Thanks. I'll pass on your information to our friend. He's going to Fiji in mid July with Peceli.

Thank you, Wendy. Have a good weekend. Gilbert
