7s Rugby Celebrations

A highlight of the IRB 7s series win celebrations is a specially composed song dedicated to coach/player, Waisale Serevi. The song will be sung by a Suva student before Serevi delivers his speech at the stadium on Monday. The program begins at 8am, Monday, with the float procession making its way to the Post Fiji Stadium from the Suva Flea Market. The team will make one stop at the Civic Centre for the mayoral salute before proceeding to the McDonalds eatery at Laucala Bay where they will be joined by school children for a foot march to the Post Fiji Stadium. The team is to arrive at the stadium at 9.30am and will be received by the Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase. If you want to be part of the celebrations, you can be along the route to the stadium at the time or, better still, go down to the stadium.
