Bridge to be completed in June

The Rewa Bridge is expected to be completed on schedule in June. The bridge, the largest in Fiji, which links Suva and the town of Nausori, where the airport is located, spans the widest river in Fiji. The F$30 million EU funded project has been progressing well with no major accidents and mishaps that would have deferred construction. With further developments expected at the Nausori Airport (marked SUV on airline systems), this would open up more tourist potential for the Suva and surrounding areas as tourists can fly directly to Nausori/Suva. At present, the airport receives direct flights from Sydney and a city in New Zealand on 737s.
